An Assistant Pharmacist plays a crucial role in the Cosmetics comany. This position entails supporting licensed pharmacists by performing a range of tasks that contribute to the safe and effective distribution of medications to patients. Assistant Pharmacists are responsible for preparing prescriptions, managing inventory, and providing customer service. They work in various settings, including hospitals, retail pharmacies, and clinics, offering key support in maintaining the business' smooth workflow. With a keen eye for detail, an Assistant Pharmacist ensures all tasks related to medication preparation and supply are accomplished with high accuracy and compliance with established protocols. These professionals are indispensable in achieving optimal patient care and operational excellence within the pharmacy setting.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and dispense medications according to prescriptions from licensed pharmacists.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient medication records within the database.
  • Organize and manage pharmacy inventory to ensure a consistent stock of supplies.
  • Assist pharmacists in providing patient counseling on medication usage.
  • Ensure compliance with all pharmaceutical regulations and operating procedures.
  • Label and package medications accurately for distribution to patients.
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure medication accuracy and inventory consistency.
  • Assist in the training and supervision of pharmacy trainees and interns.
  • Handle Sales staff inquiries and clarify cosmetics-related questions promptly.
  • Participate in pharmacy meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Operate pharmacy equipment and software with proficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to confirm medication instructions and patient prescriptions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; formal pharmacy technician training preferred.
  • Certification as a pharmacy technician or assistant is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a busy environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy software and standard computer applications.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer service.
  • Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Basic mathematical skills needed for accurate medication dosage calculations.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacological principles.
  • Willingness to take on additional duties and learn new pharmacy practices.
  • Preferred female
