Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately according to the prescriptions received from healthcare professionals.
• Provide pharmaceutical care advice to patients and healthcare colleagues for improved health outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with DHA regulations and maintain accurate dispensing records at all times.
• Manage the ordering, stocking, and control of medication inventory to ensure availability.
• Review medication orders for potential drug interactions and allergic reactions before dispensing.
• Offer expert consultation on the usage, dosage, and adverse effects of prescription drugs.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patients' pharmacotherapy plans.
• Participate in health promotion campaigns to educate patients on medication adherence and safety.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of all patient and physician information.
• Maintain a professional and organized pharmacy workspace adhering to cleanroom standards.
• Continuously update knowledge of pharmacy practice through continuing education opportunities.
• Supervise and guide pharmacy assistants and other staff to ensure efficient workflow.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid DHA license to practice pharmacy in the UAE.
• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role in a healthcare setting.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical formulations and their therapeutic effects.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
• Demonstrated ability to manage pharmacy operations and prioritize tasks effectively.
• A thorough knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations is required.
