Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense and manage the distribution of medications to patients.
• Review and interpret prescriptions ensuring legality, accuracy, and appropriateness.
• Provide medication therapy management to optimize patient outcomes and safety.
• Instruct patients on the correct use of their medications and potential side effects.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive drug information.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal pharmacy protocols.
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy assistants and technicians in their daily tasks.
• Manage inventory to ensure an adequate supply of medications and medical products.
• Conduct health and wellness screenings, including blood pressure and diabetes testing.
• Maintain patient records with confidentiality and accuracy as a priority.
• Develop and implement procedures for managing pharmacy operations and safety.
• Advise on the proper storage, handling, and disposal of drugs and chemicals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university.
• Valid pharmacist license.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical practices, procedures, and regulations.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Experience with pharmacy management software and inventory systems.
