We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pharmaceuticals and the ability to provide excellent customer service. You will be responsible for the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring the accuracy of prescriptions while maintaining patient confidentiality. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can operate under pressure and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to promote positive patient outcomes. As a member of our pharmacy team, you will also educate patients on the use, dosage, and potential side effects of their medications to promote effective treatment and adherence.

Responsibilities

• Verify prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness of therapy for each patient.
• Dispense prescribed medications and counsel patients on medication usage and side effects.
• Manage and maintain accurate records of all dispensed prescriptions and transactions.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal pharmaceutical care for patients.
• Provide drug information and education to patients and healthcare professionals.
• Perform checks on medication stock levels and reorder as necessary to avoid shortages.
• Ensure strict adherence to legal and regulatory guidelines in pharmaceutical operations.
• Assist in the management of pharmacy staff and during inventory audits.
• Develop personalized patient care plans for pharmaceutical therapies when required.
• Participate in continuous professional development to remain current with pharmacy practices.
• Implement safety measures in accordance with industry best practices and policies.
• Communicate effectively with insurance companies regarding patient coverage issues.

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or equivalent qualifications for this role.
• Valid state pharmacist license along with good standing with regulatory bodies.
• Strong analytical skills to assess prescription validity and necessity.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively advise and educate patients.
• Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in pharmacy management software and relevant technological tools.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
