Job Description
Role Summary
We’re looking for a curious, driven and ambitious Graduate to join our HR team.
Your core role will sit within HR Operations, where you’ll learn the foundations of how HR works across the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding and employee data to HR systems, processes and day-to-day employee support.
But we don’t want you to simply learn how things are done. A big part of your role will be to question how we work, spot repetitive or inefficient processes, and help us find smarter ways of doing things. Whether that means improving a workflow, simplifying a process or exploring opportunities for automation, we want someone who naturally asks: “Could we do this better?”
Alongside your core HR Operations responsibilities, you’ll have the opportunity to gain exposure to different areas of HR through structured rotations and projects, giving you a broader understanding of the People function and helping you discover where your strengths and interests lie. This is a role for someone who wants to learn quickly, take ownership and create opportunities for themselves.
Responsibilities
- Learn & Own HR Operations
You’ll start by learning the fundamentals and gradually take ownership of key operational processes, including:
- Supporting pre-onboarding and onboarding activities for new joiners
- Preparing HR documentation using approved templates
- Coordinating with teams such as IT, Finance and other business functions
- Maintaining accurate employee information across HR systems
- Supporting employee lifecycle changes and HR administration
- Responding to employee queries and making sure issues are followed through to resolution
- Supporting reporting, trackers and HR data requirements
- Helping ensure our HR processes are accurate, consistent and well organised
Some of this work will be operational and repetitive, and that's intentional. We want you to understand our processes properly before helping us improve them.
- Question, Improve & Automate
Role
Role
One of the most important parts of your role will be identifying ways we can work smarter. As you learn our processes, we’ll expect you to:
- Spot repetitive tasks, unnecessary steps and manual processes
- Ask questions and understand why we do things the way we do
- Identify opportunities to simplify or automate HR workflows
- Explore tools, technology and AI that could help us work more efficiently
- Work with the HR team to turn improvement ideas into practical solutions
- Test new processes and workflows and help implement them
- Document improved processes so they are simple and easy to follow
You don't need to arrive knowing how to automate everything. We want someone who is curious enough to investigate, learn and figure things out.
You'll also develop hands-on experience with the systems and data that sit behind the People function.
You’ll
- Learn how our HR systems work and how they connect to our processes
- Help maintain accurate and reliable employee data
- Support system testing and improvements
- Investigate system issues and help coordinate solutions
- Use Excel and HR data to answer questions and identify trends
- Develop an understanding of how technology can improve the employee experience
- Explore the Wider People Function
While HR Operations Will Be Your Core Responsibility, We Want You To Understand How The Wider People Function Works. Through Rotations, Projects And Hands-on Exposure, You May Have The Opportunity To Work Across Areas Such As
- Talent Acquisition
- Learning & Development
- Employee Engagement & Experience
- Performance Management
- Talent Management
- Rewards & Recognition
- People Partnering
The purpose of these rotations is to broaden your HR experience while giving you opportunities to apply what you learn back into your core role.
Requirements
Experience & Skill
- Recent graduate or up to 1 year of professional experience
- Degree in HR, Business, Psychology or a related field is helpful, but not essential
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working with Excel, data and digital tools

What You'll Get
- Hands-on experience across the employee lifecycle
- A strong foundation in HR Operations
- Exposure to different areas of HR through rotations and projects
- Experience working with HR systems, data, workflows and automation
- Opportunities to own real projects rather than simply observe
- Coaching and support from experienced HR professionals
- The freedom to suggest ideas, challenge processes and improve how we work
- The opportunity to shape your career as you develop
You won't just learn how HR works. We want you to help us make it work better
