Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Payroll Expert to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our payroll system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role demands a keen attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and comprehensive knowledge of payroll practices and legislation. The Payroll Expert will collaborate with the finance team and other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiencies in payroll administration. Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the entire payroll process for employees across multiple locations.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports and tax filings accurately and on time.
  • Implement and maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with the HR department to manage employee data changes in the payroll system.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and provide support to employees regarding payroll inquiries.
  • Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll and tax filings.
  • Ensure security and confidentiality of employee payroll data and records.
  • Develop and deliver payroll training and support to HR and finance staff.
  • Stay updated on latest payroll procedures, tax changes, and legislative impacts.
  • Manage payroll vendor relationships and ensure timely and accurate third-party payments.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to drive payroll-related improvements and innovations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in payroll management or a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and labor laws.
  • Strong proficiency in payroll software and systems, such as ADP or SAP.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in handling payroll duties.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee information ethically.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address and resolve payroll issues quickly.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with various teams and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
