Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Expert to join our dynamic team and oversee our payroll operations. The successful candidate will have extensive expertise in payroll processing and will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payrolls for our diverse workforce. The Payroll Expert will collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to streamline processes, ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, and deliver excellent employee service. This role requires a meticulous individual with a strong understanding of payroll systems and an ability to handle confidential information with the utmost integrity. Responsibilities

  • Maintain and process payroll records and reports for accounting of salary payments.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll regulations and laws.
  • Coordinate and communicate with external vendors for benefits and payroll services.
  • Manage payroll discrepancies, resolve issues, and respond to employee inquiries promptly.
  • Prepare reports related to payroll and accounts, leveraging analytical skills.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure payroll aligns with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and ensure timely filing of all payroll-related declarations and payments.
  • Implement and optimize payroll systems and processes to increase efficiency.
  • Audit payroll reports to maintain accuracy in payments and deductions.
  • Provide guidance and training to payroll clerks and other payroll team members.
  • Maintain a secure environment for managing sensitive payroll information confidentially.
  • Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and distribution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Proven experience of at least five years in managing payroll systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of payroll practices, principles, and laws.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities are essential.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate payroll administration.
