Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Expert to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring our organization's payroll processes are executed smoothly, accurately, and timely. The Payroll Expert will be responsible for managing the payroll systems, ensuring compliance with government regulations and corporate policies, and liaising between departments to resolve payroll-related issues efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of payroll procedures, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality. An aptitude for problem-solving and excellent communication skills are also critical in managing the various aspects of payroll operations in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll on a regular schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Manage all payroll taxes, including filing and adjustments when necessary.
  • Address and resolve all payroll discrepancies and queries promptly.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance departments for payroll data accuracy and reporting.
  • Analyze payroll data to identify trends and implement improvements.
  • Stay updated with changes in payroll laws and effectively communicate updates to the team.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure integrity and accuracy in payroll processes.
  • Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures for efficient operations.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll-related reports to management and other departments.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding payroll-related inquiries.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and ensure accurate documentation for compliance purposes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
  • At least three years of proven experience in a payroll processing role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and proficiency in payroll software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make informed payroll decisions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective team collaboration.
