Job Description

A Patient Coordinator is a vital component of a healthcare team, responsible for ensuring that patients receive optimal care and attention throughout their healthcare journey. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries and information requests.
  • Assist with patient check-in and checkout processes, ensuring a smooth experience.
  • Manage and update patient records, maintaining strict confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure patients receive timely and appropriate care.
  • Facilitate communication between patients and medical staff regarding care instructions.
  • Provide patients with educational materials related to their health and treatment plans.
  • Address and resolve any patient complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Verify patient insurance information and discuss payment options as needed.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry and managing correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and patient privacy laws.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives by gathering and analyzing patient feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years experience in a healthcare or patient-facing role.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centric approach.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and office software.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, insurance policies, and ethical standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
