Job Description

As a Patient Administrator, you will be at the forefront of our healthcare delivery efforts, providing invaluable support in ensuring a seamless experience for our patients from registration through to discharge. With a keen attention to detail and excellent communication skills, you will manage the administrative side of patient care, serving as a vital link between healthcare providers and patients. Your role will involve handling sensitive patient information, coordinating with various healthcare departments, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Being adept at multitasking, you will manage patient scheduling, billing inquiries, and foster a welcoming environment for both patients and their families. Your contributions will be crucial in maintaining efficient clinic operations and delivering superior patient satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals daily.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
  • Coordinate patient appointments and manage clinician schedules efficiently.
  • Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Facilitate communication between patients and medical staff regarding appointments.
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide information about healthcare procedures.
  • Process billing and insurance claims in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Update medical records and ensure data entry accuracy in the system.
  • Prepare and manage patient documentation for clinical assessments and treatments.
  • Support the administrative team in daily office tasks and special projects.
  • Ensure the waiting area is welcoming and that patients are attended to promptly.
  • Adhere to all established health and safety protocols within the clinic environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in healthcare administration preferred.
  • Previous experience in a front-desk healthcare role or similar environment required.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail in managing tasks.
  • Proficiency in medical management software and standard office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare billing practices and insurance processing is advantageous.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive patient data.
