Job Description

A Patient Admin Executive plays a crucial role in the healthcare setting, acting as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers to ensure smooth operational flows. This position involves comprehensive administrative tasks that support patient care processes and enhance the overall patient experience. The Patient Admin Executive is responsible for handling patient inquiries, managing appointment schedules, and maintaining meticulous patient records. The role demands strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and often fast-paced environment. Commitment to confidentiality and patient privacy is paramount, as is the ability to provide compassionate and efficient service to all patients.


Responsibilities

  • Manage patient appointment schedules by coordinating with healthcare providers and patients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in confidentiality-compliant systems.
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide relevant information or escalate to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in the billing and insurance processes by liaising with financial departments.
  • Facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes for all patients attending appointments.
  • Prepare and distribute patient documentation such as consent forms and medical reports.
  • Coordinate with various departments to streamline patient care and administrative workflows.
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy, organized, and equipped with necessary materials and forms.
  • Implement and support patient privacy and confidentiality policies consistently.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving patient service delivery.
  • Provide administrative support to healthcare practitioners and manage office supplies inventory.
  • Handle discrepancies in patient information and rectify them in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • A diploma or degree in healthcare administration or a related field.
  • Proven experience in healthcare administration or similar customer service roles.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients.
  • Proficiency in medical office software and standard office applications like MS Office.
  • Comprehensive understanding of healthcare system functionalities and patient management.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines stringently.
