As a Pastry Chef, you will be the creative force behind the desserts and baked goods at our establishment. We are looking for a talented and passionate individual with a love for all things sweet. Responsibilities

  • Develop and prepare a wide variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
  • Design and decorate pastries using traditional and contemporary techniques.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to design dessert menus for special events.
  • Ensure all pastries and desserts are of high quality and consistently great taste.
  • Keep abreast of new pastry trends and innovate new recipes accordingly.
  • Order and maintain inventory of baking supplies and ingredients efficiently.
  • Train, supervise, and inspire junior kitchen staff and baking apprentices.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the pastry kitchen area.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
  • Conduct quality checks on ingredients and final products to ensure excellence.
  • Handle customer feedback professionally and adjust offerings as necessary.
  • Manage cost controls while creating high-quality products within budget.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or a similar role in a busy kitchen.
  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent qualification in culinary arts or baking.
  • Extensive knowledge of baking and pastry-making techniques and ingredients.
  • Strong creative skills with a passion for experimenting with flavors and textures.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities to manage kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and presentation in every pastry creation.
