Job Description

As an Outdoor Sales Representative, you will be at the forefront of driving sales and brand presence by reaching out to potential clients in various locations. You will be responsible for identifying customer needs, offering solutions, and maximizing sales opportunities in the field. Your role is crucial in promoting our products and services to a diverse clientele, often requiring on-the-spot decision-making and a strong understanding of our offerings. This position involves a substantial amount of travel and face-to-face interactions with clients, which makes it ideal for someone who is self-motivated and enjoys the challenge of sales in a dynamic outdoor environment. Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new customer prospects in defined territories and sectors.
  • Manage existing client accounts and ensure customer satisfaction with regular follow-ups.
  • Deliver engaging product presentations tailored to customer needs and contexts.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales quotas and performance targets.
  • Prepare strategic sales plans and maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to stay informed about industry trends.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to improve branding and promotional campaigns.
  • Attend trade shows and community events to network and generate sales leads.
  • Manage sales records and ensure accurate data entry into customer management systems.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions.
  • Provide regular feedback to management regarding customer needs and competitor activities.
  • Train and mentor junior sales team members to support department objectives.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as an Outdoor Sales Representative or similar role.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and work independently in the field.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle objections effectively.
  • Capability to travel extensively and manage time effectively in a flexible role.
  • Good understanding of distribution channels and market penetration strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
