Job Description

We are seeking a creative and talented Oriental Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for creating authentic and exquisite Oriental pastries while bringing innovative ideas to the table. As an Oriental Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing a wide range of desserts, pastries, and sweet treats that reflect the rich and diverse flavors of Asian cuisines. You should be skilled in managing all aspects of pastry production, from concept through to presentation, ensuring high standards and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • Create and design a variety of Oriental pastries and desserts daily.
  • Develop new dessert recipes that adhere to traditional and contemporary trends.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of pastries, ensuring aesthetic appeal.
  • Ensure all pastry products meet the highest quality and taste standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen at all times.
  • Monitor ingredient inventory and coordinate order placement as needed.
  • Train and mentor junior pastry staff to enhance their skills and productivity.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to plan dessert menus for events.
  • Adapt traditional recipes to meet dietary restrictions and customer preferences.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and innovations in Oriental pastry-making.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations in pastry production.
  • Manage pastry production schedules to meet restaurant service requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Oriental Pastry Chef in a reputable establishment.
  • Ability to develop and execute innovative pastry recipes and designs.
  • Excellent knowledge of various Asian pastry techniques and ingredients.
  • Strong attention to detail and an eye for beautiful dessert presentation.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to multitask under pressure.
  • Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations in pastry production.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team.
