Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, and implement an innovative and authentic oriental pastry menu.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of all pastry products meet our standards.
  • Oversee daily pastry operations, including food preparation and production processes.
  • Collaborate with other chefs and management to plan and execute special events.
  • Monitor ingredient inventory, ensuring freshness and adequacy for daily production.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the pastry kitchen at all times.
  • Train and mentor junior pastry staff, sharing skills and culinary techniques.
  • Conduct regular taste tests to maintain quality and flavor balance in dishes.
  • Adapt traditional recipes to include modern twists and new presentation styles.
  • Keep updated with industry trends and incorporate applicable techniques in the kitchen.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and in working order.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Previous professional experience as a Pastry Chef specializing in oriental cuisine.
  • Culinary degree or formal pastry training from a recognized institution preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of oriental pastry ingredients, recipes, and preparation techniques.
  • Ability to develop unique and creative pastry offerings that excite our clientele.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an eye for detail and presentation.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively supervise and inspire a pastry team.
