Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Optometrist to join our dynamic team. As a licensed Optometrist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive eye care and maintaining our commitment to excellence in patient services. Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine eye examinations and advanced diagnostic tests for patients.
  • Diagnose, manage, and treat disorders and diseases of the visual system.
  • Prescribe corrective lenses, and fit contact lenses or glasses as needed.
  • Counsel patients regarding their ocular health and vision care strategies.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals in a multidisciplinary team setting.
  • Provide pre and post-operative care to patients undergoing eye surgery.
  • Maintain detailed patient records including treatment plans and progress notes.
  • Educate patients on the importance of eye health and preventive eye care.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in optometry and ophthalmology practices.
  • Participate in community outreach and promote eye health awareness initiatives.
  • Handle emergency eye care cases and provide immediate attention when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, regulations, and standards of practice.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited optometry school is required.
  • Valid license as an optometrist.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of eye anatomy, visual system, and common eye conditions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients.
  • Ability to use diagnostic equipment such as phoropters and retinoscopes effectively.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and staying current in optometry advancements.
