Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Optometrist to join our growing team at a prominent eye care facility. As an Optometrist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing vision problems and eye diseases, and prescribing the necessary corrective lenses or treatment plans. You will work closely with other eye care professionals to deliver exceptional patient care and educate patients on maintaining optimal eye health. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for providing quality healthcare. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, assessing visual acuity and detecting eye diseases.
  • Diagnose and treat various ocular conditions to improve patients' visual health.
  • Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, and eye-related medications as needed.
  • Educate patients on proper eye care practices and preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document clinical findings thoroughly.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and technology to assess eye conditions.
  • Provide pre and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in optometric practices and treatments.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to promote eye health awareness.
  • Manage emergency situations promptly and effectively to ensure patient safety.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and healthcare regulations pertaining to optometry.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited educational institution.
  • Valid State license to practice Optometry and handle eye care procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a clinical setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients of all ages.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals.
  • Proficiency in using optometric and diagnostic equipment and technology.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care consistently and compassionately.
