Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Manager for our Logistics department. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing logistics operations efficiently and effectively, ensuring the seamless movement of goods from point A to point B. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day logistics activities, optimizing processes, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You will work closely with various departments to ensure that operations align with company objectives and drive improvements in supply chain functionalities. Strong leadership skills are essential, as you will manage a team and foster a collaborative working environment to achieve department goals.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily operations within the logistics department to ensure efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies for optimizing supply chain processes and logistics networks.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, transport providers, and other partners to streamline logistics operations.
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Analyze logistics data and generate reports to support decision-making processes.
  • Lead, train, and motivate logistics team members to achieve high performance levels.
  • Develop contingency plans to address disruptions in the supply chain network effectively.
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure accurate tracking of goods movement.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with logistics service providers.
  • Conduct regular reviews of logistics processes and suggest improvements to enhance productivity.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to meet operational and company goals effectively.
  • Implement and monitor the performance of logistics IT systems for improved operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience of at least 5 years in logistics or operations management roles.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage and develop teams effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking skills for process improvements.
  • Thorough understanding of logistics operations, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Proficient in using logistics management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and utilize logistics data effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills to handle diverse logistics activities.
  • Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and supplier management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
