In this Operations Clerk position

Job Purpose

Support administration of operations processes and activities to deliver a smooth supply chain and operational model for the targeted business volumes, meet products/ services standards and exceed quality standards in line with business strategy and objectives, corporate guidelines and policies

Key Tasks

• Under supervision, support delivery of operations processes and activities
• Provide administrative support to the transport and distribution unit or department
• Keep vehicles and equipment in working order through a comprehensive program
• Collect/ deliver shipments within specified time by planning routes, liaising with external departments, timely communications, etc.
• Interact with import/ export departments in anticipation of changes, make relevant changes and communicate adjustments to relevant stakeholders
• Carry out proper loading/ unloading of the loading unit/ loading security
• Record loading/ unloading activities at customer end through appropriate tools scanning application, phones, etc.
• Enter data into database or computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records
• Access stored information, place orders or respond to enquiries such as inventory levels or delivery schedules
• Follow and achieve compliance with established procedures and ensure proper usage of operations processes and policies
• Resolve recurring issues faced during delivery as per defined processes, systems and methods

• Explain facts, practices, policies, etc. to others within the organization adhering to narrowly defined procedures, standards and guidelines
• Support and interact primarily with colleagues of own team
• Communicate information that requires some explanation or interpretation
• Address task-related issues appropriately to maintain work relationships
