Job Description

The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end onboarding process for new merchants and clients, from initial handover to successful go-live. Acting as the primary point of contact during onboarding, the role ensures a smooth client experience while coordinating with internal teams to meet operational, compliance, and business requirements.

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in onboarding, compliance, operations, fintech, payments, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Manage merchant onboarding activities from assignment through go-live.
  • Communicate with clients daily via email and other communication platforms.
  • Monitor and coordinate the KYB/KYC process, including the collection and review of required documentation.
  • Follow up with clients regarding outstanding documents, compliance requirements, and onboarding milestones.
  • Review onboarding-related agreements and documentation, coordinating with the Legal team where required.
  • Monitor the status, execution, and renewal of merchant agreements, licenses, and corporate documents.
  • Perform website and URL checks to verify operational readiness and support risk assessment processes.
  • Track onboarding progress, monitor go-live timelines, and proactively follow up on pending actions.
  • Coordinate onboarding requests with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Support,
  • Finance, TechOps, Sales, and Account Management teams.
  • Participate in internal meetings and provide onboarding status updates.
  • Maintain accurate onboarding records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other onboarding, operational, and client management tasks as required.
