The Role

Joining our international team, you will be working full-time on offshore wind farm projects with one of our clients. As our Client Representative, you will represent the client on board the contractors vessel during the execution phase of offshore development projects. This crucial role requires ensuring all activities comply with client expectations and meet the agreed standards.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate vessel inspections, confirm completeness of compliance reports, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Supervise vessel trials, pre-operation tests, and preparation; verify readiness of vessel and equipment before operations begin.
  • Assist with Employer personnel rotation planning and ensure availability of all Employer-provided items for operations.
  • Participate in hazard assessments and confirm all deliverables, procedures, and SIMOPS/COMOPS documentation are complete and consistent; coordinate with headquarters and MWS as needed.
  • Support the selection of onboard representatives and deliver project safety briefings to all vessel crew.
  • Ensure work is carried out according to approved method statements and risk assessments; monitor weather limits and confirm they are tracked and reported correctly.
  • Follow up on deviations from procedures using the Contractor’s change management process; validate changes per MOC requirements and manage onboard NCR processes.
  • Attend daily Contractor meetings, monitor progress, validate planning adjustments, and maintain accurate records for QA, as-built, and final reporting.
  • Assess and confirm completion of work in line with project acceptance processes; track outstanding items and deviations.
  • Coordinate MWS activities onboard if required; review and sign all relevant documentation including Daily Progress Reports.
  • Promote safety and quality culture by joining safety walks, toolbox talks, and daily safety meetings.
  • Liaise with Employer’s offshore construction management, installation coordinators, and represent the Employer in interactions with third parties on board or in port.
  • Oversee all vessel interface management, including logistics coordination and interactions with third-party vessels or stakeholders (e.g., fishermen).
  • Track onboard Employer items, manage personnel transfers, validate access permits, and coordinate with logistics and Marine coordination.
  • Submit internal Daily Progress Reports with detailed comments; maintain shared records of lessons learned, HSE observations, and suggestions for future improvements.
  • Compile and share photo documentation; prepare a full handover package at the end of each rotation including DPRs, observations, and key documentation.

What We Are Looking For

  • Relevant degree or study program with a technical background in engineering or a similar field;
  • 5+ years of offshore work experience within offshore industry;
  • Strong understanding of RAMS, QHSE documentation, SOPs, and compliance requirement;
  • Completed courses such as GWO Course: Sea Survival, Working at heights, First Aid, Fire Awareness, Manual Handling; HUET, STCW 2010, OPITO or BOSIET, and EBS (STASS, HEED or EBS); HSE training or similar
  • Knowledge and experience in complex interface offshore operations;
  • Knowledge and experience in coordinative measures in offshore operations, including interface with Marine Coordination Centers, local coast guard, SIMOPS/COMOPS, and permitting authorities;
  • Familiarity with national and international regulations and guidelines related to offshore operations;
  • Fluency in verbal and written English and excellent communication skills, to present complex matters in a professional and straightforward way.
