Job Description

As an Offshore Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our offshore operations comply with all HSE regulations and standards. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying potential risks, implementing safety programs, and fostering a culture of safety among all team members. You will work closely with various departments to ensure that all safety measures are adhered to and that the health and well-being of all personnel are prioritized. This position requires a perceptive eye for detail and a robust understanding of offshore operations, regulations, and best practices in safety management. Your commitment to promoting a safe working environment will significantly impact our operations by minimizing risks and enhancing operational efficiency.


Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage safety programs to maintain regulatory compliance offshore.
  • Conduct regular HSE audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Provide expert advice on health, safety, and environmental issues to all offshore personnel.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with managers and supervisors to implement safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct training sessions on HSE policies, procedures, and best practices for offshore teams.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports on HSE performance and incidents on site.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HSE legislation and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure readiness.
  • Monitor environmental impact and sustainability practices as part of HSE responsibilities.
  • Ensure the proper usage and maintenance of safety equipment by all staff.
  • Assist in the development of new safety initiatives and continuous improvement strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in offshore HSE advisory or similar roles.
  • Proficient understanding of HSE legislation and offshore safety standards.
  • Strong communication skills for effectively conveying safety information and training.
  • Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and develop associated mitigation strategies.
  • Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Certification in offshore safety training programs such as BOSIET or OPITO.
