Officer - MIS

Objective:

This position is responsible for preparing accurate financial and operational reports, supporting month-end closings, and ensuring data consistency across systems. The role plays a key part in enabling business decisions through timely MIS reporting and reconciliation support.

Key Responsibility:

• Support timely and accurate preparation of monthly MIS reports, including P&L and Balance Sheet by store, region, and business unit.
• Assist in month-end closing activities, including ledger scrutiny, provision entries, and adjustments of prepayments.
• Review general ledger and trial balance entries to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Reconcile intra-company transactions related to purchases, sales, and transfers, ensuring all entries are correctly posted.
• Manage insurance coordination for retail outlets, warehouses, offices, and other company assets.
• Generate supporting reports for management, finance, and other internal departments as required.
• Assist with the closure of financial modules within ERP systems (such as APPS) during monthly closing periods.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure consistent data flow for MIS reporting and compliance tracking. 
• Maintain and organize MIS documentation, policies, and audit trail for easy reference and compliance purposes.

Desired Experience:

• 2-5 years of experience in Management Information Systems (MIS) or IT management, with experience in a leadership role.
• Proficiency in database management, data analysis, and ERP systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• In-depth understanding of MIS principles, data security, and compliance standards.
