Officer - Aviation Security Standards And Processes

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To support Aviation Security Regulations & Standards to deliver best practice in all operational aspects of the security department. The position is responsible for highlighting areas for development and ideas to improve policy and procedures as well as the application of regulatory oversight activities in support of the National Civil Aviation Security Programme (NCASP) of UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists the Aviation Security (AVSEC) Department to improve procedures through feedback and observations of operations, contribute to new policies, highlighting the regulatory requirements.
• Conducts standards observation tests and inspections in line with NCASP, Airport Operator Security Programme (AOSP) and IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) International standards and best practices.
• Monitors AVSEC standards, Easy Flight Ops Solution (EFOS) Reports and staff feedback, response to queries and collate statistical data. Debrief and make recommendations, prepare statistics for monthly meetings.
• Supports the Aviation Security Regulations & Standards with development and delivery of any AVSEC workshops and in implementing new processes, procedures and projects, prepare data for GCAA and other Regulatory Bodies.
• Ensures continuous improvement through policy and process evaluations, capturing latest changes in Standards.
• Leads cross departmental functions and work in collaboration with operational departments to continuously improve awareness of Aviation Security throughout the organization including, but not limited to; Flight- Operations, In-Flight Services, Crew Training, Quality Assurance, and participates in projects with other departments to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Works in conjunction with the Training Department to identify training needs.
• Maintains and verifies the accuracy of all collected information and data, to ensure it meets the required Standards.
• Promotes Security Culture through projects, activities and workshops.
• Performs job related duties as instructed by senior staff of Aviation Security Regulations & Standards.
• Contributes to promoting and maintaining a culture of security at flydubai in line with the IATA Security Management System (SeMS) principles.
• Reports findings in regard to all aspects of standards of Aviation Security to the senior staff of Aviation Security Regulations & Standards.
• Enhances aviation security using the principles outlined in the company Security Management Systems (SeMS) proactively and conduct practical assessments and tests.
  
  

Qualifications

• Associate Degree (2 years)
• Certification or equivalent approval by the appropriate authority or Association e.g., IATA Aviation Security Course - Compliance
• Fluent in English
• A minimum of 3 years of Aviation Security experience
• Years with qualifications: 3 - 5 years
• Aviation Compliance qualifications related fields certification Security Management Systems (SeMS) Microsoft Office Application certification Basic Aviation Security Awareness certification

Isr Requirements

Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
