Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Manager to lead our nursing team and oversee nursing operations within our healthcare facility. As a Nurse Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care while effectively managing nursing staff and resources.


Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and lead nursing staff, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and nursing assistants.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to nursing team members.
  • Ensure the provision of safe and compassionate patient care by nursing staff.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care plans.
  • Manage nursing staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts and units.
  • Monitor and address staffing shortages or issues.
  • Implement and monitor nursing care standards, protocols, and best practices.
  • Conduct quality assessments and audits to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Assist in developing and managing the nursing department budget.
  • Control expenses and allocate resources effectively.
  • Coordinate training and continuing education for nursing staff.
  • Ensure staff members maintain the required certifications and licenses.
  • Address patient and family concerns and complaints.
  • Foster a patient-centered care environment.
  • Stay informed about healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and accreditation requirements.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and nursing department documentation.
  • Prepare and submit reports to healthcare administration.

  • Proven work experience as a Nurse Manager or similar role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work with a variety of healthcare professionals and patients
  • Extensive clinical skills for specific units
  • Ability to lead and motivate others
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as a Nurse Manager
  • Strong clinical nursing skills and knowledge.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in healthcare information systems and electronic health records (EHRs).
  • Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
