The NOC Officer (Construction) is responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and supporting all network-related activities for construction and telecom infrastructure projects. The role ensures smooth communication between the field teams and the operations center, monitors project progress through NOC systems, and promptly responds to any field network or system issues to maintain project continuity and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitoring and Coordination
Monitor live status of construction or telecom sites through NOC systems and dashboards.
Track project progress, alarms, and alerts related to site connectivity or operational activities.
Coordinate with field engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors for issue resolution.
Maintain continuous communication with project teams to ensure work completion as per schedule.
2. Incident and Fault Management
Identify, log, and report network or system faults in real time.
Escalate critical issues to relevant departments or vendors for timely action.
Follow up and ensure proper closure of incidents and service requests.
Maintain accurate records of downtime and corrective actions.
3. Reporting and Documentation
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on site status, outages, and work completion.
Maintain records of work orders, alarms, and communication logs.
Update network information, project status, and escalation details in the system.
4. Technical Support
Support field teams with technical guidance on connectivity or system access issues.
Ensure NOC tools and systems are properly updated and functional.
Coordinate with IT/Network teams to resolve internal system connectivity problems.
5. Compliance and Communication
Ensure all communication and escalations follow approved SOPs and escalation matrices.
Support in maintaining SLAs and KPIs related to project and network performance.
Assist in planning and implementing preventive maintenance schedules.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field.
Experience: 2-4 years of experience in NOC operations, preferably in telecom or construction projects.
Certifications (Preferred): CCNA, Network+, or equivalent certification.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of network monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds, Zabbix).
Familiar with fiber, civil, and telecom infrastructure activities.
Strong understanding of network and communication systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
