About The Job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Front Office Team in Dubai, the Night Manager is responsible to provide supervision and direction in the Front Desk and all other areas in the hotel during the night with the objectives, performance and quality standards established by the hotel. Night Manager reports to Front Office Manager/ Assistant Front Office Manager.

As a Night Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Supervise all overnight hotel activities, including front desk and housekeeping ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Handle billing, cash management, night audit functions, and Infor system processes including daily and end-of-month closures.
  • Provide exceptional guest service, resolve complaints promptly, welcome VIPs, and ensure Legendary Quality Experiences are upheld.
  • Lead and support the night team, ensure proper staffing levels, maintain high grooming and behaviour standards, and facilitate shift handovers.
  • Uphold safety, hygiene, and brand standards through regular inspections and adherence to policies, regulations, and quality protocols.
  • Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and ensure smooth coordination with other departments.

As a Night Manager, We Expect From You

  • High school diploma required; a degree in Hospitality is a plus, with at least 2 years’ experience in a 5-star hotel and 1 year in a Night Manager role.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and hotel systems such as PSMS, Alice, Alliants, HotSoS, and Rex.
  • Prior experience in the Middle East and involvement in hotel pre-openings are advantageous.
  • Ability to understand and meet guest expectations, delivering exceptional service with attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English is required; fluency in Arabic is essential.
  • Proven team leadership, with the ability to manage projects, multitask, and prepare departmental reports effectively.
