To strengthen our international team, we are looking for a Nextcloud Product Engineer, regardless of background, whether in development, system engineering, or product management, as long as you have solid knowledge of Nextcloud products and practical experience with Nextcloud hosting and deployments.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve Nextcloud products, apps, and hosting solutions
• Collaborate with developers, system engineers, and product managers to define requirements and implement features
• Optimize Nextcloud environments for performance, security, and scalability
• Conduct testing, monitor performance, and troubleshoot issues in Nextcloud deployments
• Maintain documentation and technical specifications for Nextcloud products and workflows
• Develop or customize Nextcloud apps and integrations if needed
• Stay up-to-date with trends in Nextcloud development, collaboration software, and cloud solutions

Your Profile

• Practical experience or education in system engineering, software development, or related fields
• Solid understanding of Nextcloud architecture, apps, and hosting environments
• Experience with Linux server management, networking, and security best practices
• Programming skills are a plus (PHP, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, API integrations)
• Familiarity with automation, deployment, and monitoring tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team
• Fluent in English; German is a plus
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with international teams
