We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Senior Consultant Neurologist to join a leading Government Healthcare Facility. The successful candidate will provide expert neurological care to adult patients, manage complex neurological conditions, and contribute to clinical leadership, quality improvement, education, and multidisciplinary patient care.
The Senior Consultant will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with a broad range of neurological disorders while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and evidence-based clinical practice.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive specialist consultation, diagnosis, and management of patients with neurological disorders.
Evaluate and manage complex and acute neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, movement disorders, neuromuscular diseases, headaches, and neurodegenerative conditions.
Assess and manage neurological emergencies and critically ill patients in collaboration with emergency and critical care teams.
Interpret and utilize relevant neurological investigations, including MRI, CT, EEG, EMG/NCS, and other diagnostic studies.
Develop individualized treatment plans and provide appropriate follow-up and continuity of care.
Provide expert consultation to physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Supervise and mentor junior physicians, residents, fellows, and other clinical staff.
Participate in clinical teaching, training, and continuing medical education.
Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research, and evidence-based practice.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records in accordance with institutional policies.
Participate in departmental meetings, committees, on-call duties, and other clinical activities as required.
Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, professional standards, and hospital policies.
Medical Degree (MD, MBBS, or equivalent) from a recognized and accredited medical school.
Completion of an accredited Residency Training Program in Neurology.
Board Certification in Neurology from a recognized medical board.
American Board Certification in Neurology is highly preferred or required, depending on the applicable licensing authority.
Minimum 5 years of post-specialty/consultant-level experience in Neurology, preferably within a tertiary-care, academic, or government healthcare setting.
UK CCT doctors prefered
Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and managing complex neurological conditions.
Strong clinical decision-making and diagnostic skills.
Experience in neurological emergencies, including acute stroke management, is highly desirable.
Experience with neurological procedures and diagnostic modalities relevant to the specialty.
Strong leadership, communication.
