About The Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Network Technician to join the IT Operations Engineering & Support team.

Responsibilities

The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:

• Install and configure network hardware such as routers, switches, and access points
• Maintain and repair network infrastructure including cabling and peripheral devices
• Monitor network performance and conduct regular diagnostics to identify bottlenecks or failures
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues
• Implement network security protocols and assist in firewall configurations
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and incidents
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to procure and deploy network solutions
• Provide technical support and training to staff on network usage and best practices
• Schedule and perform upgrades and preventive maintenance with minimal disruption to operations
  
  

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in network support or IT infrastructure
• Proficiency in LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds), ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow), Knowledge of network security practices and compliance standards
• Experience with wireless systems and controllers (e.g., WLC)
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent are a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Requires the ability to lift and move objects weighing as much as 9 kg
