Network Engineer

This role is an integral part of the Network Operations team and is mainly responsible for assisting with documentation implementation and operational support of each project and participation in a joint on-call support rotation.

• This role is an integral part of the Network Operations team and is mainly responsible for assisting with documentation, implementation, and operational support of each project, and participation in a joint on-call support rotation.
  
  

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting network equipment at multiple client sites
• Collaborate with customers and third-party vendors to resolve and troubleshoot network issues
• Coordinate with remainder of Network Operations to keep our network infrastructure operating at peak efficiency
• Assist other internal departments with routine network infrastructure changes, such as adding new subnets or provisioning switch ports
• Participate in an on-call support rotation within Operations at large, including some systems-side support duties
• Work with other teams on improvements necessary to provide better service delivery
• Assist on network maintenance and service-affecting events
• Assist in creation and documentation of formal processes and troubleshooting procedures
• Schedule, document and implement maintenance procedures when necessary

Education And/or Experience

• Minimum High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in Network Engineering in similar or related field
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field is a plus
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent is preferred
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of networking concepts, including OSI model, Ethernet and TCP/IP
• Demonstrated experience of Cisco IOS
