Network Engineer 11F25

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our growing network infrastructure. You will work closely with other engineering teams to ensure the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video, and wireless network services. This role requires a strong understanding of network architecture and protocols, as well as hands-on experience with Cisco hardware and software. Successful candidates will demonstrate problem-solving abilities and have a comprehensive understanding of IT security principles. Responsibilities

• Design and implement network solutions to meet internal and external connectivity needs.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, and other network devices to optimize network efficiency.
• Collaborate with IT security teams to protect network integrity and prevent unauthorized access.
• Support complex network systems and ensure continuous availability for end-users and applications.
• Develop and document network diagrams and detailed engineering documentation to standardize processes.
• Conduct regular network performance audits and assessments to preemptively resolve issues.
• Manage and implement software and firmware updates on all network equipment.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff on network technology and protocols.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for network development and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and network regulations for data transmission.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and readiness for network infrastructure recovery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role in a complex environment.
• In-depth understanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• Hands-on experience with configuring and managing Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills to diagnose network issues.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical information to stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in high-pressure situations.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are highly desirable.
• Experience with network security practices and implementation of network management tools.
