Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Neonatologist to join our medical team, specializing in the care of newborn infants, particularly the ill or premature newborns. As a Neonatologist, you will apply your expertise in a specialized environment to diagnose and treat the tiniest of patients with compassion and precision. Your role will involve working closely with a team of healthcare professionals to devise and implement treatment plans, perform medical procedures when necessary, and use your knowledge to advance neonatal care protocols. Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical treatment to newborn infants, including premature babies.
  • Develop, oversee, and implement individualized treatment plans for neonates.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare staff for comprehensive care.
  • Conduct neonatal resuscitation and other life-saving procedures as needed.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Educate family members on the condition and care of their newborns.
  • Engage in continuous monitoring and assessment of neonates in intensive care.
  • Lead rounds in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) with the medical team.
  • Document patient care activities thoroughly and accurately in medical records.
  • Participate in clinical research to improve neonatology care practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements and protocols in neonatal care.
  • Mentor and guide junior medical staff and healthcare trainees in neonatal procedures.

Requirements

  • Medical degree with board certification in Neonatology is required.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience working in a neonatal intensive care unit.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with families and medical staff.
  • Dedication to providing compassionate care to newborns and their families.
  • Active medical license to practice within the jurisdiction of employment.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records and neonatal care technology.
