A Neonatologist is a specialized physician dedicated to the care and treatment of newborns, particularly those who are ill or premature. These medical professionals work in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) to monitor, diagnose, and treat newborns. The primary focus of a neonatologist is to ensure optimal health outcomes for the newborns under their care. This entails collaborating with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare providers to offer comprehensive care. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit.
• Diagnose and manage medical conditions in premature and ill newborns.

Requirements

• Medical degree with completion of a fellowship in neonatology.
• Valid medical license to practice as a neonatologist.
• Extensive knowledge of newborn physiology and pathology.
• Proven experience working in a neonatal intensive care unit is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with families and medical staff.
• Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure medical situations.
