Description The Monobrand Business Development Executive (AE) will drive the growth and performance of our monobrand retail partners across Africa, Islands and Middle East. The role focuses on building strong relationships with distributors and retailers, executing joint business and expansion plans, and enhancing both in-store and digital capabilities.
Responsibilities
Drive growth and expansion of monobrand partners by developing strong, strategic relationships with key distributor and retail stakeholders.
Build and execute joint business plans aligned with partner strategies to increase Apple’s market share across Africa, Islands and Middle East (AIM Region)
Elevate retail performance by strengthening digital capabilities, in-store execution, and staff competencies to deliver a premium customer experience.
Collaborate cross-functionally with distributors, retail partners, operations teams and sales finance on expansion and upgrade plans for monobrand stores across physical and digital channels.
Define and implement effective marketing, in-store activities, and traffic-driving initiatives to maximize sell-through.
Ensure competitive affordability programs (financing, trade-in, forward trade-in) are effectively deployed to support conversion.
Monitor and optimize performance across POS, including inventory management, assortment planning, and store coverage/quality improvements.
Maintain deep market and store-level insights through regular field engagement, translating observations into actionable strategies.
Represent the Apple brand with excellence, ensuring consistency with global standards across all partner touchpoints.
Minimum Qualifications
Significant commercial experience in working with retailers or other channel partners
Experience operating and influencing within a multinational organisation
Excellent analytical skills, coupled with high attention to detail – bringing the ability to translate complex data into insightful business intelligence, learnings from performance measurement and best practices
Great communication skills – at multiple organisational levels, inside and outside the company
Demonstrates high degree of ownership and accountability
Strong presentation and story-telling skills
An innovative and strategic thinker – ability to challenge the status quo and think ‘out of the box’
Strong ability to influence both directly and indirectly
Flexibility and ability to deal with ambiguity
Ability to handle multiple tasks with competing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
