Job Description

As a Ministry of Health (MOH) Pharmacist, you play a critical role in ensuring the provision of comprehensive pharmaceutical services within the healthcare system. Your expertise not only guarantees the safe and effective use of medications but also contributes significantly to public health initiatives. Working alongside doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, you will be responsible for overseeing the medication management process, providing valuable insights into the development of policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe and effective use of medications within healthcare settings.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy for patients.
  • Provide patient education and counseling on proper medication usage and adherence.
  • Develop, implement, and review pharmaceutical care plans and policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and healthcare guidelines.
  • Monitor medication inventory levels to prevent shortages and wastage.
  • Conduct medication reviews and audits to promote best practices in pharmacotherapy.
  • Contribute to public health programs aimed at improving community health outcomes.
  • Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians in dispensing and managing medications.
  • Promote the use of technology to enhance pharmaceutical services and patient care.
  • Participate in research projects to advance clinical pharmacy practices.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance in all pharmacy operations and documentations.

Requirements

  • Licensed Pharmacist with a current registration from a recognized body.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical or hospital pharmacy setting.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and healthcare standards.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams.
  • Adept in using pharmacy management software and healthcare technology tools.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
  • Ability to handle stress and emergency situations with sound judgment.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing pharmaceutical inventories and records.
