Mobile Application Tester

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive Mobile Application Tester with 2–3 years of experience in testing Android and iOS applications. The ideal candidate should have strong manual testing skills, basic exposure to automation, and the ability to take ownership and guide junior team members when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end testing of mobile applications across Android and iOS platforms
• Design, develop, and execute test cases, test plans, and test scenarios
• Conduct functional, regression, usability, and compatibility testing
• Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA or similar
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to ensure quality delivery
• Validate UI/UX, performance, and responsiveness of mobile applications
• Execute testing on real devices, emulators, and simulators
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
  
  

Leadership & Ownership:

• Take ownership of assigned modules/features
• Mentor and guide junior testers or new joiners
• Assist in task prioritization and coordination within the QA team
• Ensure adherence to QA processes and best practices
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in mobile application testing
• Strong understanding of SDLC/STLC and QA methodologies
• Hands-on experience in manual testing of Android and iOS apps
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of API testing (Postman or similar)
• Good understanding of device compatibility and OS-level testing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills
