Job Description

The MIS and Inventory Management Specialist is a critical member of an organization's supply chain and information management team. This role involves ensuring that management information systems (MIS) and inventory controls are optimized, reliable, and efficient. The specialist will be responsible for facilitating a seamless integration between different MIS platforms and the inventory system, allowing for accurate data collection, reporting, and analysis. Working closely with operations and IT, the individual will address system needs, improve processes, and contribute to achieving organizational goals through effective data management and inventory oversight. Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the integration of MIS platforms and inventory systems effectively.

  • Create detailed MIS reports to aid management decision-making processes regularly.
  • Train and support staff in using MIS and inventory management tools effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend innovative solutions.
  • Assist in developing strategic inventory management plans based on data-driven insights.
  • Maintain documentation for inventory management procedures and MIS configurations.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends in MIS and inventory management technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in MIS or inventory management roles.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to optimize processes efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical information clearly to non-technical users.
