Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive prenatal care to expectant mothers throughout their pregnancy journey.
• Support mothers during labor and delivery, ensuring a safe birth experience.
• Conduct thorough assessments to monitor maternal and fetal health continuously.
• Educate mothers and families on childbirth options and pain management techniques.
• Prepare mothers for a healthy childbirth experience through prenatal classes and sessions.
• Collaborate with obstetricians and healthcare teams regarding high-risk pregnancies and deliveries.
• Develop individualized birth plans that align with mothers’ preferences and medical needs.
• Provide postpartum care, including monitoring recovery and assisting with breastfeeding techniques.
• Offer emotional support and counseling to mothers and families throughout pregnancy and after delivery.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of mother and baby health statuses.
• Respond promptly to any complications or emergencies arising during labor and recovery.
• Educate families on newborn care practices to ensure effective bonding and healthy development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Midwifery from an accredited institution.
• Valid and current Midwifery license .
• Minimum of two years of experience as a practicing Midwife in a healthcare setting.
• Exceptional communication skills to interact with families and healthcare professionals.
• Strong understanding of obstetric complications and appropriate care interventions.
• Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations or emergencies.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with maternal care best practices.
