Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive prenatal care to expectant mothers throughout their pregnancy.
• Monitor the health and development of both mother and fetus regularly.
• Educate expectant mothers about childbirth, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Develop individualized birth plans in collaboration with pregnant women and their families.
• Provide guidance and emotional support during labor and delivery.
• Perform physical examinations and assess the health of mother and newborn post-delivery.
• Manage complications arising during pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period.
• Maintain detailed records of patient health histories and progress over time.
• Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Offer education and support regarding family planning and reproductive health.
• Ensure the delivery environment is clean, safe, and ready for childbirth.
• Stay updated with the latest practices and guidelines in maternal and newborn care.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Midwifery or related medical field is required.
• Valid  licensure as a practicing Midwife is mandatory.
• Proven experience in a midwifery role within healthcare settings.
• Exceptional communication skills to educate and reassure expectant mothers.
• Strong ability to work under pressure during unpredictable childbirth situations.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care and medical practice.
