Job Description

As a dedicated Midwife, you will be an essential part of a healthcare team, providing compassionate care and support to women during pregnancy, labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. Your expertise in assessing, diagnosing, planning, and implementing individualized care plans will ensure both the mother and the baby receive the highest quality care. Your role involves promoting holistic health approaches, supporting women through natural pregnancies, and managing unexpected situations with a calm and professional demeanor. As a Midwife, you will provide not only clinical care but also emotional and educational support, empowering women through their pregnancy journey and beyond. Your ability to work collaboratively with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare providers is vital to delivering comprehensive care.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct prenatal visits to assess the health of the mother and baby.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for pregnant women.
  • Monitor fetal development and maternal health throughout pregnancy.
  • Educate expectant mothers about prenatal nutrition and lifestyle choices.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to mothers during childbirth.
  • Assist in labor and delivery with a focus on natural birthing techniques.
  • Administer medications and interventions as needed during complications.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of prenatal and postnatal care.
  • Offer postpartum support, including breastfeeding advice and infant care tips.
  • Participate in community outreach to educate about reproductive health.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians and healthcare team for comprehensive care.
  • Stay updated with latest midwifery practices and participate in professional development.

Requirements

  • Certified Midwife with current licensure to practice in your state.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Midwifery or related field required.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in midwifery practice.
  • Strong understanding of prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially with diverse patient populations.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
  • Commitment to providing patient-centered, evidence-based care at all times.
