Description
We are seeking a Middle Business Analyst to support the design, development, and continuous evolution of our sports-game-oriented SaaS platform. Working closely with the Product team, you will play a key role in translating business needs into clear functional requirements, ensuring development teams have complete, accurate, and actionable specifications.
The role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders and technical teams. You will contribute throughout the product lifecycle - from discovery and requirement analysis to delivery validation - helping ensure solutions meet both business objectives and customer needs.
You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, QA, Design, Data, and Operations teams while reporting directly to the Product Owner.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Product Owner in backlog refinement, requirement analysis, and feature planning.
Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements through collaboration with stakeholders.
Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and wireframes where appropriate.
Collaborate with Product Designers and Engineering teams to ensure shared understanding of requirements and expected user experience.
Analyze existing systems, business processes, APIs, and third-party integrations to identify impacts, dependencies, and implementation considerations.
Support the Product Owner during feature discovery, solution design, estimation, and sprint planning activities.
Work closely with QA teams to ensure requirements are testable, complete, and aligned with acceptance criteria.
Assist during UAT, validating delivered functionality against documented requirements and business expectations.
Document business processes, workflows, decision logic, and system behaviour using appropriate modelling techniques.
Facilitate requirement workshops and clarification sessions with business, commercial, operational, compliance, and technical stakeholders.
Perform impact analysis for product changes, enhancements, and integration requests.
Identify requirement gaps, inconsistencies, and risks early, proposing practical solutions to support successful delivery.
Maintain high-quality documentation within Confluence and ensure backlog items remain current throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Contribute to continuous improvement of business analysis standards, templates, documentation quality, and delivery processes.
Requirements
3+ years of Business Analysis or equivalent role experience within software product development.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Solid understanding of API integrations, system dependencies, and cross-platform data flows.
Hands-on experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, workflows, and technical specifications (functional & non-functional).
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, SAFe framework, and Continuous Delivery practices.
Experience using JIRA and Confluence for backlog management and documentation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
Experience working within cross-functional Agile teams.
Ability to manage multiple initiatives and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Desirable
Experience within the iGaming, Sportsbook, Casino, or B2B SaaS industry.
Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems from a business analysis perspective.
Experience analyzing REST/SOAP APIs, authentication mechanisms, webhooks, and integration workflows.
Familiarity with API documentation, JSON, and request/response payloads.
Experience working with SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL) for data validation and analysis.
Knowledge of UML, BPMN, sequence diagrams, and process modelling techniques.
Familiarity with integration testing, UAT, release management, and production support activities.
Basic understanding of AI, data analytics, and personalization features within digital products.
