Job Description

  • Managing both direct and indirect teams, including those based onshore and offshore.
  • Overseeing Retail Maintenance, CIU Letter management, and Drop box fulfillment processes.
  • Ensuring transactions are processed according to agreed service standards.
  • Performing GL reconciliations and ensuring no exceptions in reporting.
  • Tracking monthly exceptions and reporting to relevant stakeholders, adhering to escalation processes.
  • Maintaining high-quality standards across Retail Maintenance, CIU, and LAP onboarding units.
  • Ensuring appropriate controls are in place for tracking and monitoring original file receipts and adherence to archival processes.
  • Maintaining all required controls, risk factors, and procedures.
  • Maintaining positive working relationships with personnel from other sections and divisions.

Managing MIS and providing weekly/monthly reports to key business stakeholders.

  • Ensuring daily Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Turnaround Times (TATs) are met through performance monitoring, spot checks, and team discipline.
  • Responding to routine activity queries within pre-specified time frames.
  • Focusing on credit evaluation and policies to increase approval rates and managing deviation cases.
  • Handling the team efficiently to surpass departmental and organizational goals.
  • Approving process changes to enhance productivity and improve leadership skills.
  • Maintaining a good knowledge of credit policies related to retail products.
  • Managing risks through exception reporting and reviewing processed applications.
  • Ensuring adherence to operating procedures and policies.
  • Collaborating with other unit managers, business partners, and the risk team for optimal coordination and capacity planning.
  • Promoting an environment where staff feel involved and contribute ideas to achieve service excellence.
  • Initiating and following up on quality projects and workflow improvement reviews.
  • Keeping senior management informed of regular activities and escalating exceptional occurrences for appropriate action.

Achieving satisfactory results in internal and group audits

  • Typically, 10+ years of experience should include exposure to credit operations, risk management, and team leadership within the banking or financial services industry.
  • High Level of Maturity and Good Communication Skills is essential for balancing the needs and expectations of external stakeholders and staff, ensuring effective communication and relationship management.
  • Strong Managerial and Interpersonal skills is crucial for supervising teams, providing leadership, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Sound Knowledge of Credit Policies and understanding of systems is important for ensuring compliance with credit policies and effectively utilizing systems to manage credit operations.
  • In-Depth Knowledge of Credit Underwriting Procedures is necessary for overseeing credit underwriting processes and ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.

Ability to work under pressure with challenging deadlines is critical for managing high-stress situations and meeting tight deadlines without compromising on quality or compliance
