Responsibilities

  • Create and implement effective merchandising strategies to boost sales and profitability.
  • Maintain an organized, visually appealing, and inviting shop atmosphere.
  • Analyze sales data to make informed decisions about product placements.
  • Develop strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate terms and prices effectively.
  • Coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure a steady supply of best-selling items.
  • Monitor inventory levels and adjust displays to reduce overstocking and out-of-stock situations.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to align store displays with promotional activities.
  • Train and manage in-store staff on effective merchandising techniques and protocols.
  • Keep up to date with the latest merchandising trends and industry news.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on sales figures and merchandise performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and relevant legal regulations.
  • Implement seasonal merchandising plans, adjusting items based on consumer preferences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in a merchandising or related role.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret sales metrics and marketing data effectively.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for supplier and team interactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with inventory management software.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in product presentation.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a collaborative team environment.
