Job Description

The MEP Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works on construction projects. They oversee the MEP teams and are responsible for managing and coordinating all MEP work to ensure that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This position requires a blend of technical proficiency, leadership skills, and project management experience to anticipate and resolve challenges efficiently. The MEP Supervisor acts as a liaison between engineers, contractors, and clients to guarantee smooth operations and adherence to project specifications and safety standards. Their work significantly influences the creation of functional, safe, and cost-effective building services that meet both the clients' needs and regulatory requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage MEP works to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and engineers to streamline MEP processes.
  • Inspect and monitor all MEP activities to enforce quality and safety standards.
  • Review design plans and specifications to ensure effective project execution.
  • Resolve MEP issues and conflicts promptly to minimize construction delays.
  • Prepare detailed progress reports and communicate them to project stakeholders.
  • Implement project schedules and ensure timely completion of MEP work phases.
  • Ensure proper installation and functioning of MEP systems before project handover.
  • Conduct regular meetings to discuss MEP project status and address concerns.
  • Manage the procurement and logistics of MEP equipment and materials efficiently.
  • Train and guide the MEP team members to improve their technical skills.
  • Adhere to all local and international MEP codes and regulations consistently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an MEP supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and construction industry standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Proficient in project management software and MS Office applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Experience in managing budgets, schedules, and procurement processes effectively.
