Job Description

The MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Supervisor 19D25 oversees the MEP systems in various construction and maintenance projects. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that all MEP components of a building are designed, installed, and operate effectively. The MEP Supervisor works closely with project teams to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. This role requires an individual with strong leadership skills and technical expertise, who can efficiently manage teams and resources to complete projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in large-scale building projects, with a strong focus on quality and safety.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise the installation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Schedule and oversee regular inspections and system testing to ensure functionality.
  • Coordinate with project managers to align MEP tasks with project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations in all MEP operations.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to review MEP plans and designs.
  • Manage and allocate resources effectively for various MEP projects and services.
  • Prepare and conduct regular progress reports and project documentation updates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to MEP systems promptly.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Train and mentor junior staff in best practices and safety procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of workmanship across all MEP activities.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate project risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field.
  • Proven experience as an MEP Supervisor in large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international building codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams.
  • Proficient in MEP design software and project management tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on quality and safety.
