The MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Supervisor is tasked with overseeing the comprehensive operation and maintenance of projects involving mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This position is critical in ensuring that these systems function efficiently throughout the life of a project. You will be responsible for managing a team of skilled technicians, executing project plans, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This role requires a deep understanding of plumbing systems, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment, as well as the ability to effectively manage resources and schedules to meet project deadlines. You must be a proactive problem solver, adept at coordinating with other construction and project management teams to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems. A successful MEP Supervisor will leverage strong communication skills and technical expertise to deliver projects successfully, optimize system performance, and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the MEP engineering team effectively.
• Ensure all MEP installations comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Collaborate with project managers to integrate MEP systems into project timelines efficiently.
• Develop and maintain documentation of all MEP systems, including schematics and schedules.
• Evaluate and approve design plans for new MEP installations and renovations.
• Prepare and present regular progress reports on MEP project statuses and challenges.
• Facilitate the resolution of any installation and operational issues that arise on site.
• Manage resource allocation to maximize team productivity and meet project deadlines.
• Train and mentor junior MEP staff to enhance team competency and performance.
• Assess and procure materials and equipment necessary for MEP project execution.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination with subcontractors and external vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP supervision or a similar role.
• Proven track record of managing large and complex MEP projects effectively.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards related to MEP systems.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
• Exceptional organizational and coordination skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
