The MEP Supervisor is an integral role in the construction and facilities management sector, responsible for overseeing and coordinating projects related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in various buildings and infrastructures. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, and teams on site. The MEP Supervisor is charged with ensuring that all systems are designed, installed, and maintained in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. With a strong focus on efficiency and safety, the supervisor plays a critical role in troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the construction phase or maintenance of the building systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of MEP systems installation on projects and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate between various teams and departments to ensure project milestones and deadlines.
• Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications.
• Prepare and maintain accurate project schedules and reports on project status.
• Review plans and specifications for construction projects and provide necessary guidance and adjustments.
• Implement and enforce safety standards and procedures, ensuring adherence to health regulations.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers regarding project designs and modifications.
• Schedule and supervise the work of MEP contractors and subcontractors efficiently.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members and contractors on MEP systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections of MEP systems and oversee repair tasks.
• Manage and oversee cost and quality control for MEP projects at various stages.
• Keep up to date with new technology and industrial practices relating to MEP engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering, construction, or a similar field.
• Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to finalize projects on time.
• Solid understanding of MEP systems design and installation processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
• Proven experience in managing and supervising construction teams with diverse skill sets.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to implement them effectively.
