Job Description

The MEP QAQC Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within construction projects are designed, installed, tested, operated, and maintained according to the required standards and client specifications. This role involves the comprehensive supervision of the MEP quality control and quality assurance processes, ensuring that they align with industry standards and local regulations. The MEP QAQC Engineer actively collaborates with project teams to identify potential quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive quality improvement measures. The individual is expected to possess deep technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. The objective is to enhance the overall quality performance, which directly impacts the success of the construction projects.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality control plans for MEP systems.
  • Perform regular inspections and audits of MEP installations on site.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with project managers to align quality standards and project goals.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues promptly to mitigate project risks.
  • Prepare detailed quality assurance reports and documentation for management review.
  • Lead root cause analysis activities to eliminate quality problems effectively.
  • Conduct training sessions for team members on quality standards and procedures.
  • Review and approve MEP system designs for quality and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with supply chain partners to ensure quality material procurement.
  • Supervise the testing and commissioning process of MEP systems on site.
  • Participate in project planning meetings to provide quality assurance insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in MEP quality assurance and control.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulatory compliance issues.
  • Proven ability to conduct detailed inspections and quality audits effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in complex projects.
  • Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
  • Proficient in using various software tools for quality management systems.
