An MEP QAQC Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within construction projects. As an MEP QAQC Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance and quality control processes to guarantee that all MEP elements meet specified standards and regulations. You'll work closely with project managers, contractors, and engineers to identify and rectify any quality issues during the construction phase. This role also involves extensive documentation and reporting to ensure that all findings and modifications are accurately recorded.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive QAQC plans for MEP systems and components.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of MEP installations to ensure compliance.
• Monitor and verify quality standards per project specifications and guidelines.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to resolve MEP design-related issues.
• Review and approve all material submittals, ensuring they meet project standards.
• Report and document any non-conformance issues and propose corrective actions.
• Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to address quality and compliance issues.
• Ensure timely completion of quality control inspections and testing protocols.
• Prepare and maintain detailed QAQC documentation and audit reports.
• Train and mentor project staff on QAQC procedures and techniques for MEP systems.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to ensure timely project delivery.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring MEP issues and propose robust solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in MEP quality assurance and control roles.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems and industry quality standards and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in complex environments.
• Proficiency in QAQC processes, documentation, and relevant software tools.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with project teams and contractors.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
• Certification in Quality Management or relevant MEP quality standards preferred.
